On September 9th, 2023, Newfie's Community was officially born — a welcoming and adventurous Vintage Story server created by a passionate gamer from Newfoundland, Canada. Inspired by a love for the outdoors and the immersive world of Vintage Story, the server was founded to bring together like-minded players who enjoy exploration, creativity, and cooperative survival.

Having hosted multiple gaming servers in the past (from Rust to Minecraft and beyond), Newfie poured experience and dedication into crafting a modded Vintage Story world shaped by player feedback, community-driven projects, and a shared vision of fun. Since its launch, the community has grown into a vibrant hub filled with towns, trade, lore, and teamwork — a digital frontier for adventurers old and new.

After a strong and passionate start in September 2023, Newfie's Community grew into a tight-knit world of creativity, exploration, and shared stories. But as time passed, the spark began to fade. Like many online communities, interest gradually declined, and the once-active player base started to thin out.

Alongside this, certain mods introduced gameplay and technical issues that added extra strain on both players and server performance. In hopes of reigniting the community’s interest, a poll was held in April 2025, aiming for at least 15 votes to justify keeping the server running. Unfortunately, the response came up short — not out of lack of care, but from a shift in momentum.

Rather than letting the server quietly fade, this decision was made transparently and with the community’s voice in mind. While Newfie's Community may be offline for now, the friendships, memories, and adventures it hosted remain — and the door is never fully closed to a future return.

After a period of rest and reflection, Newfie’s Community has returned — stronger, wiser, and more inspired than ever.

Originally launched in September 2023, the server saw incredible creativity and camaraderie before taking a pause due to a dwindling player base and mod-related challenges. But passion doesn’t fade easily. Behind the scenes, work never truly stopped. With renewed energy, better mod curation, and lessons learned, the community has been revived and rebuilt for a fresh start.

This rebirth isn’t just about bringing the server back online — it’s about rekindling the spark that made it special in the first place. A place shaped by feedback, strengthened by experience, and ready once again to welcome adventurers, builders, traders, and storytellers alike.
